Bubble Your Troubles

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans!

I don't know about you but after "one of those days" at work or after doing a trade show there is nothing like going home to a hot bubble bath!
My favourite bubble bath of all time was called Chocolate Fudge Sundae - the whole top floor of my house smelled like chocolate! Unfortunately they don't make it anymore - had I known that I would have bought a case or two!

Our challenge theme this month is Anything Spring - so I think Burt having a bubble bath in a bird bath after a spring rain is fitting don't you?

My layout is based on this month's challenge sketch (below) but sized for an A2 (4.25"w x 5.5"h) sized card - just to challenge myself a little.

Burt was coloured with alcohol markers and then using my corner rounder punch - yes I had to dust that one off! the corners were rounded and added to cardstock. He is popped up using some pop dots to add some dimension.

The sentiment was created on my computer. Some sparkly Stickles were added to all the bubbles (kinda hard to see in the photo). Some ribbon and sparkly gumdrops finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Burt's Bath (R103- High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: computer - Lucida Sans font
Patterned Paper:  Lullaby - Pebbles

Willow

Howdy - MichelleO here today. I think the Think Spring release is just too pretty! Love Spring! And these images show off Spring so well.

This is Willow  -

Isn't she sweet? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then cut out the image with an oval nestie. Then inked the edge with Rangers Distress Ink Tea Dye color. Kraft card stock with a peach colored mat to show off the piece of pattern paper from Paper Studio all sewed down. A few extra large Martha Stewart leaf punches with some older crocheted flowers. The sentiment "Happy Thoughts" is part of the new High Hopes Think Spring release. Perfect for so many cards! For some added fun I added Viva Decor Pearl pen dots to the centers of the flowers and then some fun dots on her dress.

Copic colors used -

*Friendship Card

Hello High Hopes Fans,
I hope you had a great Easter Day?

We did!...We spend the day at church, with friends and family!

My post today features one of the newest stamps called "Bunny Blossoms" and the sentiments are from the "Woodland Friends Release".

The image was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolour with *Gansai Tambi watercolors. I added some tiny pearls and clears gems after my image was dry. I want this card to showcase my watercolor image, so kept it simple. To finish I adhesive a strip of dark brown cardstock to the card base.

Here is how the inside looks!
For the inside I stamped and heat embossed "That's What Friends Are For"

Some Bunny Loves You

Hello High Hopes Fans!

I am super excited with how this adorable card turned out!

I used a new image from the Think Spring release.

This is Bunny Blossoms.

I used a Sizzix die to create the card base.
This is how it looks when it's closed up and ready to mail.

This adorable image was colored with Prisma colored pencils and blended with gamsol and blending stumps.
The flowers are Prima Mktg flowers and I used Recollections mini brads for the centers

I used Fitted Frame dies from Stampendous for the big image panel.

I used a Spellbinder classic circle and classic scallop circle die for the sentiment panel.

The sentiment is Some Bunny Loves You.

Tire Swing Fun

We are finally enjoying some Spring temperatures! After a brief blast of winter by mother nature last week, this week is temperatures in the teens and pretty sunny for the most part. It just makes me want to be outside!

My card this week features "Swinging Shannon (front and back), Blossom Tree Branch, Sign Post and the Get Your Happy On" sentiment. Shannon is attached with some thread so when the card is open she swings a little from side to side. She could also be wound up before closing the card and she was spin when the card is opened - fun right?

The Back Side

The Inside

All stamps are coloured with alcohol markers and fussy cut. Her bows, shirt and patch on her knee are paper pieced with patterned paper from Carta Bella. A puffy cloud die gave me some fun clouds to add. Two different sentiments and some glittery enamel dots finish off my card.

Egg-Cellent Friend - Hangin' with My Peeps

Howdy - MichelleO here today -

I don't think there Anything better than "Hangin' With My Peeps"!

This new sentiment from High Hopes Stamps is one of my new favorites! And it matches up so perfectly with so many of the new Think Spring images. This one is called "Egg-Cellent Friend". Sweet little elephant just enjoying his time with three of his little chick friends!

I colored up with my Copics (colors below) and then found papers from Paper Studio to use with a crisp white card stock and a country blue card stock. Matted the image with the Whimsy Stamps Double Scallop Square die. Sewing down all the layers, then adding that fabulous High Hopes Sentiment "Hangin' with My Peeps" Love it! A few punched flowers and leaves with dots of Viva Decor Yellow Pearl Pen and this one is just a great card to send to cheer up someone special!

Copic colors used -

This new High Hopes Stamps Think Spring is just so cute! Make sure to visit the High Hopes Website HERE and see all the fun!
