Hog Wash

Happy Summer Thursday Fans!

My post today features an older stamp from High Hopes called "Good Clean Fun" and the Hog Wash sentiment also from High Hopes.

Pigs love mud especially on a hot summer day! I added some "mud" to two of these little cuties when I was colouring the image.

My image is coloured with alcohol markers and cut out with a stitched rectangles die. I challenged myself to use some of my scraps and smaller pieces from an Echo Park paper pad as well as some paper from my stash. Fishtail banner dies were the perfect die for cutting these out.  A piece of pink paper run through an embossing folder gave me the perfect background for this very pink card! lol

My Hero -- High Hopes Stamps

Hi there! I've been having fun with a little fishing scene created with High Hopes Stamps!
The card is made on an easel  card base and the design was extended to the bottom panel for a 3D effect.   The image is stitched and coloured with Copics along with some fishy brads and balsam wood for the sentiment.

Happy Birthday Canada!

Hi High Hope Fans!
This Friday is Canada Day for all us Canadians! When I saw this stamp from High Hopes Stamps called "Canadian Friends" I knew it would make a perfect card to celebrate our country! I think I will use it as part of my centrepiece for our Canada BBQ at the cottage!
I made the card base using a red piece of cardstock and my Silhouette Electronic Cutting machine. I popped up the "Canadian Friends"and the sentiment with foam squares for some added dimension. A handwritten Happy Birthday stamp and a few Maple leaves finished off my card. I also used my Silhouette to cut around my image and sentiment.

Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, E21, R20
Mountie: R35, R37, R39 / N5, N7, N9 / Y35, Y38 / E53, E55, E57
Beaver: E43, E44, E47, E49
Moose: E55, E57, E59

To all my Canadian friends and followers..... I hope you have a great Canada Day weekend! I will certainly be enjoying the Fireworks, one of my favourite things about this long weekend!
Happy Stamping!

Rainy Day Ducky

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Saturday Friends!  I sure hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful and warm weather this weekend.  We sure could use a bit of rain though!

For today's post, I am sharing an older yet ever so cute image...
 Lisa

This is Rainy Day Ducky (R142) and Fancy Script Happy Birthday Sentiment (HH019).  This image could be used for a variety of different occasions - for example: a baby, get well soon or Spring themed card.

The image was stamped on watercolor cardstock with a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad using my Misti Stamping Tool.  Tombow markers and water were used to colour the image.  After the image was all coloured and dry, Glossy Accents was applied on the puddle.  This added the extra shine to make it appear like water.

For the card base, I chose some SU Lavender Lace cardstock and Imagine Crafts Vertigo-Prism Texture Film.  The designer paper is from Doodlebug - Under the Sea 6x6 Paper Pad.  No foam tape was used on this card to allow the card to remain fairly flat for mailing purposes.

To complete this card, a Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped and purple enamel dots were added for a finishing touch to this simple, yet adorable card.

Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers - 452, 856, N15, N45, N95, 723, 933, 743, 373, 985, 126, 905, 606 and 603.  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad.

MiscMisti Stamping ToolGlossy Accents, Queen & Co.-purple enamel dots, Water brush and Glue Dots.

Sew Sweet

Happy Thursday High Hopes fans! It is officially summer - whoo hooo!

I used "Kathy Quilting Angel" and the Sew Sweet sentiment, both fun, older stamps from High Hopes. I personally am not a quilter, I've tried it and honestly it's not my thing but I have a ton of family who love to quilt. I have also been blessed with a lot of quilts made by my Grandmother and there is a ton of love in every stitch.

I wanted my card to look like a quilt piece in progress. After colouring my image and cutting it out, I edged it with some matching turquoise ink. I created my background by using some left over pieces of paper and cutting them into 1" squares. It is not noticeable in the photo but the wings have clear Wink of Stella on them for a bit of glitter and Star Dust Stickles was added to the flower centres for a bit of bling. Sparkly gumdrops and a piece of ribbon finish off my card.

Hopeful Ant Tag!!!

Happy Monday,
and Welcome High Hopes Fans!
Carolina here, excited to be sharing this tag and basket, I have put together a few weeks ago for Teacher Appreciation Week! This adorable basket was put together for my youngest daughter teacher.
I also created this beautiful Shabby Chic Tag to adorn my basket! The stamp I'm using is called "Hopeful Ant" and the sentiment is "For My Teacher" from High Hopes Stamps!

I stamped "Hopeful Ant" onto copic paper and fussy cut it  This cute image was coloured with Alcohol markers. I added glossy accent, green stickles, gold pen to coloured his shoes and a clear gem. The main image was pop with 3D foam tape. To give the shabby look I distressed all edges of the patterned paper with a distress ink and distress tool, then used a tracing wheel around the edges.

The pattern papers I used for this tag are a 8X8 Specialty Cardstock pad from ME&MY BIG IDEAS.
Copic List: E15 YR07 YR09 YG11 YG13 YG17 YG95 YG97 E15 E25 C1 and 0

Happy Retirement

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans! I hope you're having a great week!

My post today features "Butterfly Guy" and the Happy Retirement sentiment, both older stamps from High Hopes. I don't know anyone personally who is retiring any time soon but I felt like these two stamps went together perfectly and it is always good to have some extra cards in your stash. You never know what will come up!

I started by stamping Butterfly guy with my Misti and colouring with alcohol markers. I edged all of my papers with distress ink and added some sparkle to the butterflies with a clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen. The Polka Dot embossing folder from Cuttlebug was perfect to add some texture to my yellow cardstock. Silver brads and some silver magic mesh (to match the net) finish off my card.

Kitty Tag - Only a Cat

Howdy - MichelleO here and I have been digging back into some of my older High Hopes Stamps and loving seeing some old favorites.

This is a cute favorite - "Kitty Tag"

Such a sweet face on this kitty - I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then added the High Hopes sentiments "Only a Cat" LOVE this sentiment.. it is just so true! Found some papers from DCWV and I sewed with a light blue thread on my machine. I added a ribbon, the ribbon was white with blue dots. I didn't like how white it was... so I used a Copic and colored it! Then three buttons to finish it off.

Copic colors used -

Hope you enjoyed my card this week  - that little kitty is just too precious!

Maribelle Cow with hidden sentiment

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Whoo hooo - it's Fab Friday!!!  So don't forget to stop by the High Hopes website and visit the Fab Fridays sale section!  There are some great deals going on there.  The link can be found here. Happy shopping!!!

I'm back to share a Father's Day card with you, using an older, but adorable image...
 Jane
with the barn doors closed...

with the barn doors slid open...

This is Maribelle Cow (S120) and sentiment from Sentiment Set #3 (U506).  My dad is a dairy farmer (can you tell?) and with Father's day coming up next weekend, I thought this would make for a great card for him.  I am certain he will enjoy sliding the barn doors open and closed on it!

To begin, I used a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, a Zig-Wink of Stella pen-glitter gold, was applied on the cow bell.  These pens are so easy and fun to use to add that bit of glitter to any project!  Glossy Accents was used on the cow's mouth, horns, and udder. I just love some shine and texture on my cards!  The image was carefully fussy cut out after the gloss and glitter was dry.

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Black Cardstock, along with a white piece of cardstock for some layering.  The designer papers are from American Crafts-Stitched 6x6 paper pad (clouds) and Doodlebug-Goal 6x6 paper pad (grass).  The barn is a die from Elizabeth Crafts called Barn Pop Stand; however, I did not want to do a pop up card for this project, so I just used the cut to lay flat on my card (which also works well).  SU Cherry Cobbler, Black and White cardstock was used to die cut all the pieces of the barn. A Tim Holtz background stamp was used to create the weathered wood look for the barn siding on the Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  I was surprised on how much fun and easy it was to assemble this barn.  Almost like building a real barn-LOL!  I love the idea of the barn doors sliding open and closed.  This is where I thought the sentiment would be fun to hide!  The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder and cut apart to fit behind the doors.  Foam tape was applied to mount the main image on the card to add some dimension.

To complete this card, I die cut a wagon wheel and used just the spokes of it to create the fence in the background.  I found the size of the spokes to be about the right size for the fence I was wanting.  I am hoping my dad likes this card as it seems very appropriate for him.

Happy Trails!

This week I have been playing with an older stamp from High Hopes called "Cowgirl Candice". It's no secret I love horses so this stamp was perfect to add to my horse stamp "collection".....and yes, it is a collection!

I stamped Cowgirl Candice using my Misti and fussy cut her, I don't think my scissors miss me anymore! I wanted to keep my background in more neutral tones so the stamp would pop - but I love the flowered paper from the Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine collection so I had to include it. I used walnut stain distress ink with a flourish corner stamp I have in my stash to add to the corners and to ink the paper edges.
Some red boots add some fun to this image I think (thank you Cheri for the suggestion)! I added some Silver Wink of Stella to the rings on the bridle and some Clear Wink of Stella to the flowers.  The "Happy Trails" sentiment (also from High Hopes) and some ivory gumdrops finish off my card.

Medicine Man

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I am still digging through my older High Hopes Stamps and loving coloring up some favorites. Always in need of that pick me up Get Well Soon card... and this image is just so perfect!

This image is called Medicine Man - He is just so cute! A bit of nostalgia of watching the Flintstones as a kid I guess is why I love this one.  I paired up the Medicine Man with Bubbling Brew. I mean a medicine man just has to have some sort of stuff boiling up to get you well doesn't he? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then added yellow stickles to the fire.

And the sentiment is wonderful - "Calling the Doctor", wondering what the stuff he is cooking up taste like would sure make me start feeling better to not have to try it! Ha!

I matched this card up with some papers from FarmHouse Fair Skies collection. Loved the clouds and the map with this guy.

Lots of sewing with a dark brown thread. Three buttons to embellish.

Copic colors used -
